My father died from colon cancer in 2004, at the age of 53.
I am not going to tell you how terrible, traumatising and
tragic his death was. Instead I want to tell you what I have learned from this experience,
because I think this information can help you to stay healthy, and if necessary, regain
your health.
Being diagnosed with cancer is like the starting point of a
sprint to save your life. I imagine that most people do not even take the time to find
out about their options. They are rushed from diagnosis to surgery and from surgery into
extensive chemo-/radiotherapy, at which point they are supposed to get better and
hopefully make a full recovery.
If, however, they do not get better after their chemo-/radiotherapy, then they have
basically reached a dead-end of conventional medicine, and are generously given a final
estimate of their time left on this planet.
What alternative treatments are there against cancer? The answer is many, probably too
many. The question is how effective are they, and which do you choose? And how do you
know that they are not just quackery? After all, the most precious thing you have left
is time, and wasting time without any effect means that a recovery is going to be that
much harder for you.
an analogy
Imagine that a healthy body resembles an immaculate lawn and that cancer is represented as weeds. Weeds grow for two reasons:- They have been sown by you or someone else,
- and they have been watered!
Continuing with this analogy, conventional treatment involves cutting out infested areas
and spraying the lawn with herbicide that is definitely harmful to the grass and
hopefully effective against the weeds.
Alternative treatments try to kill the weeds without harming the grass. They try to
strengthen the grass so that the weeds have nowhere left to grow.
Whatever treatment you decide to do, it is definitely a good idea to stop sowing the
seeds of weed, and to stop watering those that have been sown already.
alternative treatments available
Here is a small list:- Breuss Diet: This is a fasting diet that lasts generally for 42 days. It involves drinking a filtered vegetable juice (beetroot, carrot, celery, black radish) and a combination of teas. The idea behind this diet is that cancer cells can only grow if they are fed certain substances present in solid food. Since they do not get these substances in this diet, they cannot grow any further and die. Teas are used to wash out the toxins that are liberated in this process. I think that it is best to make the juice fresh each time using a masticating juicer, to preserve its qualities.
- Gerson Therapy: This approach is based on organic juices, natural supplements, coffee enemas, detoxification to help the body heal itself.
- Budwig Diet: Essentially this diet consists of a mixture of quark (German cottage cheese), flaxseed oil and ground up flaxseed. Since I learned about this diet, I am having it almost every day for breakfast. I also add pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, nuts, grapefruit, apple, pear, orange, depending on what I feel like. This makes a delicious healthy breakfast.
- Other treatments: Natural Chemotherapy (vitamins, herbs, minerals, etc), Homeopathy, Reiki, Emotional Freedom Technique, Liver Flush, etc.
a common sense approach
If you have a problem that you want to get rid of, first you must remove its cause. Then you can address the problem, if it still persists. No matter what your problem is, first you have to ask yourself what might have caused it.
In the case of cancer there are many factors that may cause it. Generally it seems more
sensible to be over-cautious. If something could be harmful (maybe disputed), it may be
better to avoid it. Here are some factors that can cause disease, not just cancer, ask
yourself if they apply to you:
Bad Nutrition:
- What is unhealthy? In most cases this is food that you like but know you should not have.
- Products that contain aspartame, which is pretty much present in all sweet low-calorie products.
- Products containing MSG (monosodium glutamate), which is a flavour enhancer often added to food in restaurants and to almost all savoury snacks (e.g. crisps, noodle soups) sold today.
- In general, food that contains lots of additives is probably too processed.
- Fried food, dairy products, food containing refined sugar, food containing white flour.
Poisoning:
- Recent literature (check the books on the right,
Root Canal Cover-Up and
The Roots Of Disease) suggests that root canals are seriously dangerous, because they
become infested with anaerobic bacteria, which are pathogenic. The devastating effects of
root canals only surface many years after they have been installed. Also see the
Cavitations Page from the North Carolina Institute of Technology, I quote:
Yes, root canal teeth! The dentist saves a tooth and sets you up for cancer. There are NO GOOD ROOT CANALS regardless of what the American Dental Association says about root canals. There is no evidence of any double blind study ever made on the safety of rooth canal procedures.
- Recently there has been a lot of controversy about dental amalgam. This is not surprising, since it contains mercury, one of the most toxic elements of all. It is an immuno-suppressor, also linked to autism. Note that dental amalgam has already been banned in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
- Vaccines: Vaccination is probably the holy grail of conventional medicine. I have strong reservations regarding the effectiveness and necessity of vaccinations. In addition vaccines often contain a preservative called thimerosal, which contains mercury, yes, you read it right. You may want to watch this video.
- Smoking, or exposing yourself to other toxic substances.
Pollution:
- This could be electrical, e.g. living/working close to power lines. Or maybe you spend a lot of time near to mobile phone signal transmitters, or you use mobile phones a lot.
- Drinking/cooking with polluted water, inhaling polluted air, consuming polluted food.
Emotional:
I am sure that mental factors play a big role in many diseases. Having strong negative feelings such as anger, hatred or resentment, or being very stressed can all contribute to illness.Activities:
- Irregular sleep patterns, going to bed late, eating late in the evening.
- Being inactive is obviously bad for health. To improve health you should be active, doing a healthy amount of exercise every day.
take responsibility
It is all to easy to see yourself as a victim of sudden misfortune. However this
attitude does not help you at all. It is better to believe that you are responsible for
your current condition. You have to take charge of the situation and address your issues.
get your teeth fixed
Removing dental amalgam is something that has to be done with great care. For this the dentist should use a dental dam and the patient should wear a breathing mask, to avoid inhaling toxic mercury vapours. Removing dental amalgam without these precautions may be more harmful than keeping it, so insist on this procedure. After removal use supplements for chelation, such as chlorella. The only way to deal with a root canal is to remove the tooth and drill out the infested bone, which has become soft/rotten from bacterial invasion. Once the bone has been drilled out correctly, the wound should be sutured, so that it does not get contaminated. If the bone is not drilled out correctly, the tooth extraction is more harmful than not doing anything, so again insist on this procedure.
control your diet
I believe that it is best to follow an alkalising diet, which entails having a lot of raw organic vegetables and fruit. However, I have to confess that I have not yet managed to do this myself, so I am just converging in the right direction for now. In any case, consuming food that is as pure and untreated as possible is most beneficial. This means unprocessed, organic food, preferably raw.Make digestion easier for your body by using the method of food combining, which essentially means do not mix protein and carbohydrates in the same meal, instead eat these at separate meals. Drink a lot of water (at least 2 litres per day), always on an empty stomach, ideally no less than 30 mins before a meal, to avoid diluting digestive juices.
become an expert
If you have a serious illness, you have to do your homework and find out more about your condition. In the end you are still a customer, and you are still paying for products and services. There is simply no vendor who will guarantee you anything.Remember that before any medical procedure you always have to sign, giving your consent and accepting that if things go wrong noone will be blamed.
Find out about your chances and the effectiveness of the proposed treatment and make a decision that is based on more than just FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt).
look after yourself
Use the above information as a starting point for further investigation and decide for yourself what is right for you.I believe that occasional fasting is very salutary and have already done the Master Cleanser lemonade diet. I am planning to do the Breuss diet next. In general I intend to fast at least 2-3 times per year, for about 10 days each time.
I also think that it is good to undergo certain other alternative treatments, such as colonic irrigation and the Liver Flush.
I definitely recommend getting a masticating juicer. Such juicers are capable of juicing wheatgrass, among other things that normal centrifugal juicers cannot handle. Also the qualities of the juice are better preserved, due to its gentle extraction. I think that having daily fresh fruit and vegetable juices is a real health booster.
